Two hundred angels conspired to usurp both the spiritual and the natural order by taking human wives and claiming their children. These two hundred angels were an organized lot with one leader and chief angels over divisions. They were led by their leader, but all gave complete consent to the corporate designs. Having submitted themselves and their free will to these great mortal sins, they even bound themselves through sworn oaths and spoken curses should one of them attempt to change course. Their temporary abode was the summit of Mount Hermon, and from here they executed their plans with full knowledge of the gravity of their actions. Lust was their impetus, and they knew this would all bring a great penalty. Such was their licentiousness and wickedness. The Nephilim, a race of giants, appeared at this time (Genesis 6:4).
