Humans are meant to be like mountains.  The connection between heaven and earth is hidden deep within mortals in a miraculous place.  This union of spirit to body is a wonder to ponder.  Perfected in the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, God could even put it down and pick it up again, as He did on the cross with his death and then in the tomb with his resurrection.  Who can observe and explain this glorious science (Hebrews 4:12-13)?  One half of our human existence, the temporal and corporeal, is within the reach of science including our genetic code.  The other half of us, the eternal and incorporeal, is not.  Instead, it dwells in a place reachable only by faith.  Sadly, some don’t believe in this side of life and their faith falls to vanity and living idols of charisma, charm, beauty, personality, and talent which offer nothing but that which fades (Psalm 135:15-18).
